Currently under construction in the heart of the Village of Los Altos is a mixed use retail, office and condo development. This development will be like no other ever constructed in town. Originally listed at $6,950,000. by Judy Bogard and Sherri Hughes of Alain Pinel, the home is truly one-of-a-kind. According to our Multiple Listing Service (the MLS), the home is approximately 7,585 square feet on a 81,457 square foot lot. The house has a pool, a multiple car garage and separate guest quarters. There are stunning views of the western foothills and the home overlooks the 11th hole of the Los Altos Golf and Country Club.

Update: Per our MLS, the price of the castle was reduced on 10/01/2010 to $5,495,000.

Update: Per our MLS, the castle was re-listed on 10/06/2011 by Mark Burns of Coldwell Banker. The asking price is $3,995,000.

Update: Per our MLS, the Castle was sold and closed escrow on December 29, 2011 for a closed sales price of $3,600,000. It will be interesting to see what the new owner plans to do with the property. I would love to see it brought back to its former glory similar to what the owners of the Morgan Manor, known most recently as the Ford Country Day School, did.
